Manicure – pedicure trends

Autumn – Winter 2017-2018

The main difference with last year’s trends is the fact that the designers focused on creating manicures that are easier to wear. Nude, completely unpainted, short in length and monochrome nails were some of the most popular choices for their catwalks.

The nails are more impressive than any other winter season. The metallic colors in gold, silver, anthracite are imprinted on the nails which in combination with techniques and various tips create a textured finish with a metallic look.

The French on the nails has color, with oblique lines or with a very intense smile, but the brushstroke nails are equally impressive and are combined with an ombre base.

Let’s take a look at the nail shape trends.

The short square nails were one of the top choices. The square oval nails are back. This is the classic oval shape with a slightly more angular face. Another classic and safe nail shape that made its presence felt on the catwalks of famous houses are the macaroon nails.
The favorite nude manicure in shades of beige, pink, peach and light brown-beige remains a stable choice.

In previous seasons, at the top of the choices were the negative space nails, that is, the nails that had some of their unpainted-naked parts. So you can have a manicured manicure and leave the nails unpainted or paint one or two nails.

Red nails are a favorite choice of women and remain a constant choice.

The classic black also remains, but the color that stands out this year is metallic. Finally we have the shades of gray-brown. A cool but aristocratic and serious color that came to stay in our choices and is a choice for all hours.

Finally, a technique that we have seen in manicure, is now taking place in makeup. It is the negative space eye make up, and it is a special way to paint your eyes and create special make-up.
